Rental records
Properties, tenant details, leases, bills, payments, notes, map coordinates and receipt files you enter are stored in the app database on your device. Landlady does not require a separate account.
Optional iCloud sync
Premium members can enable private CloudKit sync with their own Apple Account. Apple handles transfer and storage across their devices. Rental records are not uploaded to a Landlady rental-data server. Sync and restoration depend on the device, network and iCloud account.
Contacts and maps
Contacts are accessed when you choose to import a contact. Only contacts you select are saved as tenant details. Apple Maps provides search and map selection. Avoid adding unnecessary sensitive identifiers to notes.
Photos, calendar and notifications
Photo access supports profile pictures and payment receipts. Calendar access lets you add outstanding bills when enabled. Notification permission enables rent reminders. You can manage these permissions in system settings.
Purchases
Apple processes in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes purchase history, transaction and entitlement information and an anonymous app user ID to verify membership, restore purchases and analyze purchase outcomes. This information is used for app functionality and analytics, is not associated with your personal identity, and is separate from your rental ledger. It is not used for advertising tracking. Regional prices and eligibility are shown by Apple.
Usage analytics
We use Aptabase for anonymous analytics of app launches, screen views, feature interactions and membership purchase outcomes, together with app version, OS version, device model and language. Aptabase processes network IP addresses to estimate coarse location (country or region, not precise location) and create temporary daily user identifiers; IP addresses are not retained in analytics events. Product interaction and coarse location data are used for analytics, are not linked to your identity and are not used for advertising tracking. Analytics events do not include tenant names, phone numbers, property addresses, rent amounts, notes or attachments, and do not use persistent device identifiers.
Managing data
Edit or delete records in the app. Deleting a property or tenant may also delete linked leases, bills, payments and reminders. Removing the app removes local data; previously synced iCloud data may be restored after reinstalling. Keep backups and verify recovery.
Language and currency
Language and ledger-currency preferences are stored on the device. Changing the currency does not convert stored amounts. Confirm that all records in a ledger use the same currency.
